Watching many newspaper articles written about my work slowly turn yellow and fade in their plastic sleeves has driven me to a variety of hopeful solutions, none of which I have been happy with, until I read about 'Preserve Your Memories II' spray. It's an acrylic protective coating for paper and metal-arts and crafts. It is acid free and even provides a 'Write-Erasable Surface'. What more would any craftsperson want?
Well, when I read testimonials that it has no adverse effect on polymer clay, I knew I had found my solution to a myriad of problems I've encountered with my polymer clay art. Not wanting a sheen on my clay sculptures has eliminated any product that I knew of to use as a sealer to prevent fading of the colors so meticulously applied. And so many products will become sticky on polymer clay eventually. I fully trust the artists who have written testimonials about its usage. The spray is available in a Matte finish to use on sculptures if you don't want a sheen, and that is what I am now using with relief knowing the finish will be preserved.
With my recent venture into making polymer clay bead and wire wrapped jewelry, I am so excited about this product. It gives a beautiful satiny sheen and a soft velvet feel to the beads and the wire. Knowing that copper won't turn yucky seems to please most people, and now it can be that way. Can you tell that I'm excited about this product? I hope so because I truly am. Lynda
